Tamron 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro Canon
The Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro lens is a wide-angle to telephoto zoom lens for Canon EF-S mount APS-C cameras, with a versatile 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-450mm. This gives you an extreme wide-angle lens and a super telephoto lens in one handy package. It also offers an aperture of f/3.5-6.3 to f/22-40 throughout the entire zoom range.
The 16-300mm is also capable of taking decent macro photos with a reproduction ratio of 1:2.9 when zoomed in to 300mm. This is thanks to a minimum focusing distance of 15.3 inches. The lens also features several special glass elements in its optical design to guarantee excellent image quality. These include one aspherical element, three molded glass elements, two Low Dispersion elements, one extra refractive index element and one Ultra-Extra Refractive Index element.
For general use, there is a Piezo Drive AF system powered by a fast and quiet Standing-Wave Ultrasonic Motor. This lets you focus quickly for sharp images. There is also Vibration Compensation, which provides optical image stabilisation. This reduces motion blur at slower shutter speeds and longer focal lengths. The lens also comes with a petal-shaped lens hood and a front and rear lens cap.
