Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art - L-mount

The Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art is a portrait lens for full-frame L-mount cameras. The fixed focal length of 85mm is ideal for portraits: it frames your subject beautifully while keeping a comfortable working distance. The wide f/1.2 aperture lets you shoot in low light and creates a soft, blurred background. The 13 aperture blades keep out-of-focus highlights nicely round, even when you stop down slightly.

The lens renders fine details with impressive sharpness. Special glass elements minimise chromatic aberration and other optical distortions. The minimum focus distance of 84 centimetres means you can capture faces and close-up details with ease.

The two HLA focus motors deliver fast and near-silent autofocus. When shooting video, the angle of view barely shifts as you change focus. The aperture ring lets you adjust the opening with ease. You can disengage the click stops for smooth adjustments, and assign functions to the two AFL buttons via a compatible camera.

This Sigma lens weighs 905 grams and features a dust- and splash-resistant housing. The water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element makes cleaning straightforward. All of this makes it a great choice for portrait photography and video, both in the studio and on location.
