The Samsung Portable SSD P9 is an external SSD with USB4 Gen 3x2 (40Gbps) for creative professionals. With sequential read speeds of up to 4,000MB/s and write speeds of up to 3,700MB/s, you transfer large amounts of RAW 4K footage in a few minutes, so progress bars no longer interrupt your work. With 1TB of storage, you take your current projects with you on location. With Direct Recording, you can save your recordings directly to the drive as soon as you press record.

Thanks to the consistent write performance, you record footage directly to the drive and edit it straight from the drive, without interruptions. On the 1TB model, the Intelligent TurboWrite technology maintains a sequential write speed of 1,000MB/s. Protect confidential data with the built-in AES 256-bit hardware encryption and password protection via the Samsung Magician software, which also lets you monitor the status of your drive and install firmware updates.

The metal housing has sharp lines and sleek edges, and an LED indicator shows the status in real time. For long recordings, the P9 has advanced overheating protection and a shock-resistant housing. The drive withstands drops of 2 meters and heavy vibrations, so you can use it on location without worry.
